Türkiye Odalar ve Borsalar Birliği Başkanı Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu'nun coğrafi işaretlerle ilgili çalışmalarını yakından takip ediyoruz.

Başkan oda ve borsaların bu konuda yaptığı çalışmaları geçtiğimiz günlerde bizlerle paylaşmış biz de siz okurlarımıza aktarmıştık.

Coğrafi işaretin zenginleşmenin önemli adımlarından biri olduğu konusunda Rifat Başkan ile yüzde 100 anlaşıyoruz. Hatta kendisine konuyla ilgili İstanbul'da bir farkındalık buluşması yapmak istediğimizi ilettik. Bu konuda haber bekliyoruz.

Ancak tam bu gelişmeler olurken İstanbul Ticaret Odası Başkanı Şekib Avdagiç 'Boğaziçi Lüferi'nin İTO adına coğrafi işaret tescilinin gerçekleştiğini söyledi. İstanbul için çok önemli adımı İstanbul Ticaret Odası (İTO) Başkanı Şekib Avdagiç şu sözlerle değerlendirdi:

-Coğrafi işaret tescili, şehirlerin âdeta kimlik belgesidir. İstanbul'un da bu noktada coğrafi tescil almaya aday pek çok ürünü olduğunu biliyoruz. İstanbul Ticaret Odası olarak konuyla ilgili sıkı bir çalışma içindeyiz. Nihayet Boğaziçi Lüferinin Türk Patent ve Marka Kurumu nezdinde coğrafi işaret tescili gerçekleşmiş durumda. Öncelikle şunu ifade etmeliyim; bu tescil sadece ekonomik bir değerin değil, aynı zamanda kültürel bir zenginliğin de tescili demektir. Daha önce Silivri Yoğurdu ve Şile Kestane Balı için bu tesciller alınmıştı. İstanbul'un geleneksel mutfağında çok önemli bir yere sahip Boğaziçi Lüferi de şimdi bu listeye dâhil oldu. Boğaz'ın doğal zenginliğinin bir parçasının uluslararası çerçevede kayıt altına alınmış olması İstanbul'un marka değerine de önemli bir katkıdır. Ama daha gidilecek yolumuz var. İstanbul'un tescil bekleyen pek çok ürünü sırada. Biz de bundan sonra İstanbul'un değerlerini coğrafi işaret tescilleriyle buluşturmak için giderek artan bir hızda çalışmaya devam edeceğiz.
